Indices

Stock Price Index is a relative number of stock price statistics complied to measure and reflect the general price level of the stock market and its changing trend. The stock price index for the reporting period is normally the average price of the stock or the market value of the stock compared with the average price of the selected base period stock or the market value of the stock, and then the ratio of the two is multiplied by the index value of the base period, which is the stock price index for the reporting period. When the stock price index rises, the average price level of the stock goes up. When the stock price index falls, the average price level of the stock also falls. It is a barometer that sensitively reflects the social, political and economic changes in the country (or region) where the market is located.
